Engagement consultation socials

How we engage with you...

Moray Council is inviting residents, community groups and local organisations to take part in a public consultation that will help shape how the council engages with people and delivers services in the future.

The consultation is now live on Moray Engage and runs until 7 August. The results will inform the development of the council's new Community Engagement Strategy and Customer Experience Strategy.

The council is developing a new approach to how it engages with local people and communities, and how it improves the experience residents have when using council services. The consultation is looking for views on what matters most to people, how they want to be involved in decisions, and how well council services meet their needs when they make contact or use services.

Feedback gathered through the consultation will help shape both strategies. Together, they will set out how Moray Council listens to people, acts on what it hears, and improves the services that residents, customers and communities rely on every day.

As part of the consultation, residents can complete an online survey and speak directly with council representatives at a series of pop-up engagement events across Moray.

Confirmed events include:

  • Tesco Elgin - Saturday 11 July, 10am to 3pm
  • Dufftown Highland Games - Saturday 25 July
  • Keith Show – Saturday 8 August

The consultation recognises that people prefer to engage in different ways. Moray Council is keen to understand whether residents would rather share their views online, face-to-face, through community groups or by other methods that work for them.

The aim is to create an engagement approach that is accessible, meaningful and built around the needs of Moray communities.
