Applications invited for third wave of funding for B&Bs, guesthouses and self-catering accommodation

The Small Accommodation Providers Council Tax fund is open to those who pay Council Tax rather than Non-Domestic Rates. All businesses should have been trading on 2 November 2020. A grant of £2,000 is available to eligible businesses, paid every four weeks.

Applications are now open to new entrants, and will close on 22 March, aimed at those who may have missed out on funding under either the B&B Hardship Fund, or the 2020 Culture, Tourism, Hospitality Enterprise Hardship Grant, or businesses who meet the eligibility criteria but have not sought funds.

Moray Council’s Head of Economic Growth and Development, Jim Grant, said: “We’ve processed a number of successful applications under waves one and two of this fund, and encourage any businesses owners which meet the criteria to apply for support under this scheme.”

Eligibility criteria are detailed on Moray Council’s website, and the application along with supporting evidence should be emailed to bbfund@moray.gov.uk. Businesses which are not eligible can apply to the discretionary fund, details available on Moray Council’s website.
