Book now for festive fun day at Elgin library

SANTA is not only coming to town, he's joining the staff at Elgin Library to mark the start of the festive season on Saturday 1 December.

The day will begin with a Bookbug Christmas picnic at 11am for families. Booking is essential for this event. Santa’s Grotto will then be open from 11.30am – 1pm and children are invited to come along and meet him, before storytime with Santa at 2pm.

Elgin Library will be bursting with festive fun with a Christmas display; the chance to view archived material from the Northern Scot Christmas Numbers in the Heritage Centre; quizzes and colouring competitions as well Christmas craft sessions. A Children’s craft session will take place in the Gallery from 2.30 - 3.30pm and booking is essential.

The Learning Centre will be providing sessions for adults on creating Christmas cards and pictures using Tagxedo word clouds from 2 - 2.45pm and 3 – 3.45pm and, again, booking is essential for these sessions.

Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live. Nestling between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, Moray stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Brodie Castle in the west.
