Book Week Scotland at Moray libraries

Moray Council’s libraries service will be celebrating Book Week Scotland 2015 from November 23 to 29.

Book Week Scotland is a national celebration of books and reading that brings hundreds of events to a variety of venues across the country.

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Transformation’ and throughout the week libraries across Moray will celebrate the powerful and positive impact that books can have on people’s lives.

Elgin library will transform the Gallery space into a tearoom on Monday, November 23 when afternoon teas will be served during a ‘crime and cupcakes’ event with Lin Anderson, the acclaimed murder mystery novelist and co-founder of the crime writing festival Bloody Scotland.

The teas will be provided by Cobbs Café at 3pm. Booking is essential and tickets are available from Elgin library at £4.

On Thursday, November 26 at 7pm, Lady Claire Macdonald will be advising on how to transform great Scottish produce into great Scottish food. This event is free of charge but booking is essential and entry will be by ticket only.
