Busy time for Moray libraries

Libraries across Moray will be hosting a number of events over the next few weeks.

A sale of withdrawn stock will take place at Lossiemouth library during normal opening hours from Friday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 23.

Ron Aitchison will give an illustrated talk on the history of the former Aberlour Orphanage at Aberlour library on Wednesday, October 7 from 7pm to 8pm, with free entry.

Meanwhile on Thursday, October 8, Dr Chloe Greenwood will mark National Poetry Day with afternoon and evening talks on winter blues, seasonal affective disorder and available therapies, including light therapy. The events, which will also feature informal discussion and poetry sharing as therapy, are at 2pm and 7pm.

Keith library will be the venue for an illustrated talk on the Keith to Dufftown railway by Ian McKenzie and Alastair Coull on Wednesday, October 14 at 3pm.

All this in addition to the packed programme which makes up this week’s Spirit of Moray Book Festival with its line-up of authors, poets and illustrators and with some events already fully booked.
