Changes to booking requirement at Moray Sports and Leisure facilities
RESIDENTS across Moray will soon be able to attend swimming or fitness room sessions without the need to book in advance.
From Monday 04 April onwards, advanced booking will no longer be required for swimming or open time fitness room sessions at sports and leisure facilities across Moray, meaning users can turn up in line with the opening times and timetables detailed on the Moray Council website.
Due to limited availability, bookings for fitness classes will remain in place and can be made using the online booking system. Alternatively you can book a place by phoning or visiting your local leisure centre.
Moray Council’s Sport and Culture Service Manager, Kim Slater, says that the changes will allow more flexibility for leisure users following restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Whilst the requirement to book sessions in advance has been effective in managing the number of users within our leisure centres, we’re thrilled to be able to offer walk-in sessions again. We’re confident that these changes will help residents get back to doing the activities they enjoy.
“Enhanced cleaning regimes remain in place and we ask that all customers continue to follow the guidance and signage in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.”
Facility opening hours and timetables can be accessed via the Moray Council website.
