Charges for parking in Elgin to resume next month

CHARGES for parking in Elgin will be re-introduced in August, it was confirmed today.

Charging for the use of Elgin’s 15 pay-and-display car parks was suspended in March, to minimise non-essential activity and allow to council to focus on delivering critical services. As lockdown restrictions are eased, more vehicles will be using car parks for employment and shopping purposes.

Charges will be reintroduced from 1 August at all pay-and-display locations, including multi-storey car parks.
