'Check your poll card' plea to Moray voters

VOTERS in Moray are being reminded to check their poll card for details of their designated polling station, ahead of the Scottish Parliamentary election on 6 May.

Recent changes, particularly in New Elgin, Forres and Lossiemouth have seen some boundary changes or areas rezoned. To make sure voters attend the correct polling station, every poll card issued has printed details of the polling station they should visit between the opening hours of 7am and 10pm.

If a voter has misplaced their poll card details of polling stations, and a postcode checker which will confirm their polling station, are available on Moray Council’s website.

While it’s not mandatory for voters to bring their poll card on polling day, it is helpful for polling staff. Those voting in person at polling stations will need to socially distance and wear face coverings (unless exempt). Enhanced cleaning will be carried out at polling stations, and each voter will be issued with their own pencil – those wishing to use a pen should bring their own.
