| With Christmas just around the corner, Santa will be paying a special visit to Elgin Library on Saturday December 5th. Santa Saturday at the library will be a day dedicated to getting in the mood for Christmas, with Santa at the centre of it all. At 10am babies, toddlers and their mums, dads, grannies and grandads are invited to a Bookbug Christmas Party - with stories, rhymes and songs to get in the Christmas spirit, and to welcome Santa to the library. From 11am until 1pm Santa will be in his grotto in the library for children to pay him a visit – and they can bring along their letters too. At 2pm, Santa is back to join the children at Storytime, whilst older children (and parents!) can design and make their own Christmas cards on the computers from 2pm, or join a more traditional paper and glue craft session at 2.30pm. Everything is free, but booking is required for the Bookbug Christmas Party and the traditional craft session. To reserve your places, call 01343 562600 or email elgin.lending@moray.gov.uk. Lossiemouth library has a craft session on Monday 7th December for adults, full of ideas and a chance to get creative with your Christmas table. The session is free and will begin at 6.30pm. Also in Lossiemouth, on Saturday 19th December there’s a storytime with Santa session at 11am. Youngsters will get to chat to Santa, and it’s not too late them to bring in their letters for last minute requests.
