Community council election results
COMMUNITY council election results for Moray have been confirmed.
Sixteen of Moray’s community councils have been re-established, with Speyside Community Council newly-established, bringing the total to 17.
Two community councils continue to be unestablished – these are Hopeman & Covesea, and Glenlivet.
Findhorn & Kinloss Community Council has been lost, as not enough candidates were elected for it to become established.
Out of a total of 208 available seats, 139 seats, or 67 per cent, have been filled.
Inaugural meetings for the 17 established community councils will begin from Monday.
