Council seeks bids for EU challenge funds

Moray Council is inviting bids for two separate challenge funds supported by finance from the EU.

One of the funds will take forward projects in the Moray area for an employability strategy, while the other will fund a poverty and social inclusion strategy.

The council has been provisionally allocated over £3million of European Social Fund money by the Scottish Government for the employability strategy and over £500,000 for the poverty and social inclusion strategy.

Both projects will run until the end of 2018.

Any European funding received via Moray Council would cover only 50% of eligible costs and organisations submitting bids will be required to explain clearly where they intend sourcing the other 50%.

Match funding cannot come from private funds or other European funding.
