Council support for businesses re-opening to customers

As the country moves through the phases of easing restrictions and businesses open their doors to customers again, the council needs to be sure it is doing all it can to support the changes.

This could mean extra signage, pavement markings and other physical distancing aids that might be required to ensure the safe transition from full lockdown.

To help the council be prepared for the next phase it is asking businesses across Moray to answer a short series of questions to help develop plans to meet business needs.

A list of consultation questions can be downloaded here, and answers are to be emailed to covid19@moray.gov.uk as soon as possible.

The council will be using the information in its planning from June 9 onwards.

A spokesman said:  “The council is planning to support businesses as best we can as the Coronavirus restrictions are relaxed, in terms of enabling space for social distancing and safe operation.

“We appreciate this is a tight turnaround, but we want to work as fast as possible to get things ready.”
