Date set for by-election
The by-election in Moray Council’s Elgin City North ward will be held on Thursday, July 13.
The vacancy in the three-member ward has been caused by the resignation of Councillor Sandy Cooper earlier this week.
Nominations for the by-election will open on Friday, May 26 and close at 4pm on Monday, June 12.
The count, which will be carried out manually, will take place at Elgin Town Hall on Friday, July 14.
