Deadline for new school transport applications
Moray parents and carers are being asked to ensure they submit any new applications for school transport by 30 June.
To ensure that travel arrangements can be made in line with covid-19 restrictions all new school transport applications should be with the Public Transport Unit by the 30 June. Any applications received after this date may not be accommodated on school transport.
Parents and carers who have already applied for school transport don’t need to re-apply.
New applications can be made via the school transport page of the Moray Council website.
A Moray Council spokesperson said: “We’re currently reviewing our school transport procedures to ensure compliance with covid-19 restrictions and to keep our children and young people safe when they return to school in August.
“It’s important parents and carers have any new applications for school transport with us by 30 June to ensure we take all requests into consideration.”
Travel passes for new P1s and S1s will be posted out during the summer holidays. If a pass has not been received by 5 August parents and carers should email ptuteam@moray.gov.uk with the name of the pupil, their address and school. Pupils from P2 to P7 and S2 to S6 do not receive new passes in August as previously issued passes are still valid.
