It has been placed first in the category for satellite war memorials without a garden in the annual best kept war memorials competition run by Royal British Legion Scotland.

The Duffus war memorial, which is maintained by Moray Council, was nominated by the legion’s Forres branch.


Moray Council area stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Forres in the west.
