Exhibition to showcase plans for Bilbohall's future

PLANS for a residential development in Elgin which could see 370 new homes built will be put to the public at an exhibition next week.

Residents and other stakeholders will have the chance to look at plans for Bilbohall and ask any questions they have about the proposals for the site, which was identified in the Moray Local Development Plan 2015 for residential development. More than half of the proposed units will be affordable housing, and there are also plans for landscaping and open space.

The drop in exhibition runs from 2-8pm on Wednesday 1 November, within the Alexander Graham Bell Centre at Moray College. The plans, and how to make comments, can be found online at www.moray.gov.uk/bilbohallmasterplan.

Feedback from the exhibition will help form a draft masterplan for the expansion of Bilbohall, which is a necessary step in the development of the site. The masterplan is being prepared by Optimised Enviroments Ltd (OPEN) and Frank Knight LLP, on behalf of Moray Council, Scotia Homes and Grampian Housing Association, who form the Bilbohall Consortium. Once drafted, it will be presented to Moray Council’s Planning & Regulatory Services Committee in early 2018.
