Free After Three returns to Elgin this festive period
Free parking after 3pm at St Giles Multi-storey car park returns from 23 November until 28 December 2024.
While many are already in the festive spirit, Christmas well and truly arrives in Elgin on Saturday 23 November with the Elgin BID Christmas lights switch-on.
Coinciding with the festivities this year is the return of Free After Three, giving free car parking in the St Giles Multi-storey car park from 3pm-6pm for the rest of the year.
Available Monday to Saturday, the initiative is in its tenth year and aims to on the success of previous years by encouraging residents and visitors to shop local and support local businesses in the run-up to Christmas and during the traditional festive sales.
Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Growth and Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Marc Macrae, said: “In its tenth year, the Free After Three scheme is ideal to take advantage of at this time of year. Whether you’re coming to see the lights switch on or popping in for some last minute gifts nearer to Christmas, I know our local businesses will appreciate your support this festive period.”
