Free fundraising advice available at seminar
FREE fundraising advice for organisations and individuals will be available at the Moray Fundraising Seminar next month.
The seminar is supported by Moray Council and Business Gateway and is free to attend. It takes places in Elgin Town Hall on Tuesday 2 October and will be attended by key funders from Big Lottery, Heritage Lottery Fund Scotland, Creative Scotland, Moray LEADER, Scotland Community Shares and The Gordon & Ena Baxter Foundation. These funders will provide a wealth of knowledge and information about a range of funding programmes currently available.
Keynote speaker, Dana Segal of The Management Centre, is a strategist and fundraiser and has worked across the UK and Europe for a wide range of charities. In her plenary, she will speak about Face-to-Face Fundraising from Major Donors and provide an introduction to the key tools needed to effectively influence major donors in face-to-face settings. Her first workshop will look at Making Powerful Proposals to Trusts and Foundations, during which attendees will find out the secrets to writing a winning bid.
There will also be workshops from Creative Scotland, Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund Scotland and more.
Due to its popularity, attendees are advised to book a place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Bookings can be made online at morayfundraisingseminar2018.eventbrite.co.uk or by telephone on 0300 123 4561. The closing date for bookings is Tuesday 25 September.
Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live. Nestling between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, Moray stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Brodie Castle in the west.
