Badminton Moray has been awarded £798.70 to help support participation and access for older players.
Funding decisions are made by Forres-ward councillors and the chair of Forres Community Council, who meet twice a year to ensure the grants are directed towards projects that deliver clear benefits for older residents.
Cllr Kathleen Robertson said: “The Auchernack Trust is about supporting practical, community-based projects that help older people stay involved and connected. This year’s awards reflect the breadth of activity taking place across the Forres area.”

Cllr Paul McBain added: “Local groups play a vital role in supporting wellbeing, particularly for older residents. The Trust helps ensure those groups can continue their valuable work.”
Cllr Draeyk van der Horn said: “Each of the projects funded contributes in its own way to strengthening community life. It’s encouraging to see so many different activities benefiting from this round of funding.”
Forres Community Council chairperson Steve Ferris said: “The Auchernack Trust remains an important source of support for local groups, and these latest awards will help ensure older people continue to have access to welcoming and inclusive activities.”
