Garmouth viaduct closure

The former railway viaduct spanning the River Spey at Garmouth is to be closed to walkers and cyclists for six weeks from next Monday.

The closure will allow work to be carried out on replacing the timbers on the structure.

The work is being funded through a £120,000 grant from Sustrans, with an additional £20,000 coming from Moray Council’s lands and parks budget.

Signage will be in place advising users of a diversion via Mosstodloch.
