Glenernie bridge to reopen ahead of schedule
GLENERNIE bridge will open today to traffic, more than two weeks ahead of schedule.
Strengthening works, as well as vegetation clearing, drainage, waterproofing and carriageway resurfacing, have been taking place since early last month. It was anticipated that the bridge would be closed to vehicles until Monday 2 July, however traffic management is being removed today and the A940 Forres - Grantown Road should be fully open to vehicles by late afternoon.
Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live. Nestling between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, Moray stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Brodie Castle in the west.
