Help shape the future of Forres’ m.connect 314 bus service
People across Forres are being encouraged to share their thoughts on the future of the timetabled 314 m.connect Forres Town Service, part of the Scottish Government’s £4m investment in the Moray Growth Deal’s Bus Revolution project, with a consultation running through July.
This review also includes proposals to extend the service to potential areas of development. Feedback will help shape a more accessible, connected and sustainable service for those who live, work and travel in the area.
A wide range of people, including those who do not currently use the service, are encouraged to take part to better understand barriers faced and identify opportunities to make public transport more inclusive and an attractive alternative to driving.
Councillor Marc Macrae, Chair of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee said: “This is an important opportunity for people in Forres to share their views to shape a bus service that works for them. Even if you don’t use the 314 service, we still want to hear from you as your views ensure the service meets the needs of a growing community and is accessible and reliable.”
The consultation survey can be completed on the Moray Engage website, with local in-person engagement events planned for the 16th, 23rd, and 30th of July at Forres Community Centre (Youth Area) from 11 to 4pm. Comments can also be sent to m.connectadmin@moray.gov.uk.
