Kinloss Daycare Centre meeting
*** Urgent message for all parents of children attending the Kinloss Daycare Centre ***
There is a strong possibility that the Kinloss Daycare Centre will have to close tomorrow. At this stage we hope that this will be an interim situation only, but at present we cannot provide a timescale for when the Centre is likely to be reopened.
There is a meeting tonight at 6pm at the Daycare Centre to explain the situation, with attendees from Moray Council, Action for Children and the Commanding Officer of 39 Engineer Regiment. We ask that parents attend if at all possible.
In the meantime we ask that parents begin making contingency plans for childcare from tomorrow. For those with 16 hours of funded places, Moray Council will be explaining their proposed interim arrangements.
Apologies for the very short notice but this has been a fast-moving situation.
Moray Council area stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Forres in the west. The council and its 4,500 employees respond to the needs of 95,510 residents in this beautiful part of Scotland, which nestles between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.
Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live.
Headquartered in Elgin, the administrative capital of Moray.
