Lord Lieutenant of Moray’s Christmas message 2025

Air Commodore Alistair Monkman CBE shared his Christmas message for 2025.

For most, Christmas is a time for people to come together, to celebrate the warmth of reunions and religious festivals and to give thanks for our collective and continuing good fortunes. It is a time of giving, of uniting family and friends, and of sharing the message of the power of love, kindness and generosity. But it can also be a time for remembering – and helping - those in need of extra support because of absence, hardship, loneliness or poor health. Moray has wonderful traditions of charitable volunteering, of compassion and of community and I urge you, this season, to look outside your households and spread a little joy - and hope for the future - to those who might find themselves in need.

Above all I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a joyous New Year.

Air Commodore Alistair Monkman CBE
