Moray businesses reminded of changes to Non-Domestic Rates payment
BUSINESSES in Moray are being reminded of changes to the payment of Non-Domestic Rates.
Moray Council recently issued bills to those businesses liable for Non-Domestic Rates for the financial year 2022-23.
Previously ratepayers had until 30 September to pay this, however changes introduced by law following the Barclay Commission review of Non-Domestic Rates means this is no longer an option.
Ratepayers who don’t pay their bill in full immediately should pay on the instalment dates set out on their bills. Failure to do so will result in reminder letters being issued by Moray Council.
Full details regarding the changes to payment, and actions available to the local authority to recover unpaid rates, are available on Moray Council’s website.
