Moray candidates for General Election
Five candidates will contest Moray at the forthcoming General Election.
Nominations closed at 4pm today and the candidates are Anne Glen (Independent), Jo Kirby (Scottish Labour), Alex Linklater (Scottish Liberal Democrats), Angus Robertson (Scottish National Party) and Douglas Ross (Scottish Conservative and Unionist).
Polling day is Thursday, June 8 when 85 polling stations will be in operation across the Moray constituency.
The count will take place at Elgin Town Hall after the polls close at 10pm.
Voters have until Monday, May 23 to register but existing registered voters need not reapply.
The deadline for applications for postal votes is 5pm on Tuesday, May 23.
Unlike the recent local government elections, 16 and 17-year-olds are not eligible to vote in the General Election.
