Moray Community Planning Partnership approves the new Plan for 2024-2027
Community planning partners have officially approved the new Partnership Community Learning and Development (CLD) Plan for Moray 2024-2027.
The plan was developed by the CLD Strategic Partnership to address areas of improvement identified during the 2023 Progress Visit by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) Scotland.
The Community Planning Partnership (CPP) board recognised the important role of CLD in promoting personal development and strengthening communities through the delivery of adult and family learning, youth work, and community development.
The plan focuses on key themes – Learning for life, Active Citizens and Community Voice; and Developing and Connecting the CLD Workforce.
Chair of the Education, Children’s and Leisure Services Committee, Cllr Kathleen Robertson, said: “We’re very pleased to see the new Community Learning and Development Plan for 2024-2027 approved. It addresses the needs of our communities and focuses on lifelong learning and active citizenship. I encourage everyone to stay involved as we work to make this plan beneficial for all residents of Moray.”
The approved plan outlines a three-year strategy for delivering community learning and development in Moray. Additionally, it was agreed that annual reports will be presented to the Board throughout the life of the plan to monitor progress and ensure transparency.
