Moray Council election 2022 nominations

Nominations for the local government election, to be held on Thursday 5 May, closed at 4pm on 30 March 2022.

Ward 3 - Buckie has three candidates for three seats and is, therefore, uncontested. Residents eligible to vote in this ward will not be asked to vote on 5 May or receive postal ballot papers. The declaration for Ward 3 - Buckie will take place on polling day.

There has not been an uncontested ward in Moray since the introduction of multi-member wards. The last time was in 2003 under the First Past the Post (FPTP) system, when there were 26 wards.
