Moray Council publishes 2024/25 performance report

Moray Council has today (Wednesday 25 June 2025) published its Public Performance Report for the year 2024/25.

The report gives residents a clear and honest look at how the council has performed over the past year.

Looking at the council’s key priorities to tackle poverty and inequality; build a stronger, greener, vibrant economy; and build thriving, resilient, empowered communities the report shows how the local authority is doing on its performance goals.

The report also shows comparisons to previous years and other local authorities. It highlights what the council has done well, where improvements have been made and where there is still work to do.

Key insights show improvements in literacy and numeracy; an increase in weekly earnings in Moray; and a reduction in those earning less than the living wage in Moray. However, there is room for improvement in the number of young people entering positive destinations and the gender pay gap has increased.

Council Leader, Cllr Kathleen Robertson, said: “We’re committed to being open and transparent with the people of Moray. This report shows how we’re delivering services, using public money, and making progress on the things that matter most to our communities.

“There will always be improvements to make but I thank staff for their hard work in getting to this point, for the improvements that have been made and for their tireless work in striving for excellence.”

The report is now available to read online, copies can be requested to be printed in libraries.

A video of highlights from the year can also be seen here.
