Moray Pathways helps 851 people move towards positive destinations through £2.16m investment
Almost 1,000 people across Moray received employability support through the Moray Pathways Local Employability Partnership during 2025/26, helping hundreds of residents move closer to work, education and training.
Moray Pathways Local Employability Partnership Annual Report shows that 985 people participated in funded services, with 851 achieving positive outcomes through employment, education, volunteering, skills development and work-related training.
Backed by £2.16 million of investment from the Scottish Government, Moray Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Moray Pathways brings together public, private and third sector partners to support people facing barriers to employment.
Key achievements over 2025/26 included:
- 985 people participated in Moray Pathways funded employability services.
- 851 people progressed towards positive destinations, including employment, education, volunteering and skills development.
- 166 people entered employment or progressed within work.
- 95 people moved into further or higher education.
- 148 people took part in the Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP), gaining training and connections with local employers.
- 202 people with disabilities or long-term health conditions received targeted support.
- The Progress for Parents project supported 130 new parent referrals, helping 33 parents into employment and seven into self-employment.
- 26 participants started on the Moray Employer Recruitment Incentive Scheme, with 23 successfully completing the six-month programme.
- 57 people gained accredited qualifications or training awards, while 34 completed work experience or work placements.
- Moray Council continued to invest in its future workforce, supporting 26 Modern Apprentices and two Graduate Apprentices.
Chair of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Marc Macrae, said: “This report demonstrates the real difference that partnership working is making for people across Moray. Through Moray Pathways, nearly 1,000 residents have received support to develop skills, build confidence and move towards sustainable employment.”
