Moray school to compete in Euro Quiz national final
St Sylvester’s Primary School, from Elgin, who won the Moray heat of the Scottish European Educational Trust’s (SEET) annual Euro quiz will compete in the national final next week (Monday 10 June) at the University of Edinburgh.
Ten primaries from across Moray took part in the quiz, which was made up of questions on a wide variety of topics relating to Europe.
Runners-up, Bishopmill Primary, were narrowly beat by the St Sylvester’s team who will now go on to represent Moray in the national final in Edinburgh.
St Sylvester’s Primary School Head Teacher, Julie Burns, said: “I’m so proud of the pupils and all their hard work. They’re incredibly excited to get the opportunity to travel down to Edinburgh and compete in the national final. The entire school will be cheering them on.”
Moray Council’s Chief Education Officer, Vivienne Cross, said: “Congratulations to the St Sylvester’s Primary School team, this is an amazing achievement and they should all be very proud. We wish the team the best of luck as the represent Moray at the national final in Edinburgh.”
