Moray welcomes 32 provisionally registered teachers for the new school year
Moray Council is pleased to welcome 32 Provisionally Registered Teachers (PRTs) who will begin their first year in the classroom across Moray schools this academic year. The new cohort will bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a commitment to helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
The teachers are joining schools across the region as part of the national Teacher Induction Scheme, taking the next step in their professional journey while gaining valuable experience in classrooms and school communities throughout Moray. Previously referred to as Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs), eligible students are guaranteed a paid, one-year teaching post.
A total of 27 PRTs from last year’s intake are staying with Moray Council in a range of part-time, full-time, supply, permanent and temporary posts.

Starting a teaching career is an exciting milestone, and our schools are committed to supporting these new colleagues as they develop their skills and confidence in the profession.

The new teachers will work alongside experienced colleagues and benefit from a structured programme of professional learning and support throughout the year.
