Moray welcomes 40 Newly Qualified Teachers for 2024/25
Moray Council is welcoming 40 NQTs this year, ready to begin the new academic term.
This year’s cohort includes 26 primary teachers and 14 secondary teachers, all set to start their teaching careers across various schools in the area.
The new teachers are set to bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to helping Moray pupils learn and grow.
In addition to the new arrivals, 38 teachers from last year have continued to remain in Moray in a variety of roles, such as part-time, full-time, temporary, and supply positions.
Moray Council’s Head of Education, Vivienne Cross, said: “Welcoming 40 newly qualified teachers to our schools is a wonderful way to start the new term. These teachers bring fresh perspectives that will benefit our students greatly.
“It’s also wonderful to see so many of last year’s teachers staying on with us, continuing to contribute to our educational landscape. I wish all our teachers, new and returning, a successful and rewarding year ahead. We look forward to providing the best education for Moray’s learners.”
