Next week is National Recycle Week 2016 and people in Moray are being urged to do even more to improve the area’s already excellent record on recycling.

During the week staff from the council’s waste management team will be out and about in local neighbourhoods and supermarkets spreading the word, so look out for them.

They will be at the Tesco stores in Elgin and Keith and the Chanonry recycling centre on Monday and, on Tuesday, at Asda in Elgin, as well as Chanonry. Wednesday will see them at Buckie Tesco and the St Giles Centre in Elgin and they will also be in Lossiemouth and Hopeman.

On Thursday they will spend the day in Forres before rounding off the week at Dufftown and Keith on Friday.

So don’t let a good thing go to waste.

Moray Council area stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Forres in the west. The council and its 4,500 employees respond to the needs of 95,510 residents in this beautiful part of Scotland, which nestles between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.

Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live.
