New job club for Aberlour
A new job club is to be launched on Speyside next week.
It will meet in Aberlour library for the first time next Wednesday, May 11, from 10am to 12 noon and weekly thereafter.
The club will enable jobseekers to get advice and support in finding work and share experiences with others in a similar position.
Help will also be available by sharing ideas, creating CVs and assisting with job applications.
Research has shown that the best way to gain employment is through friends, family or social networks such as job clubs.
More information about the new club is available by contacting Anne Owens on 01343 562612 or at anne.owens@moray.gov.uk
Aberlour will be the sixth job club set up by Moray Council’s libraries service, with clubs already running at Elgin, Buckie, Keith, Forres and Lossiemouth.
Moray Council area stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Forres in the west. The council and its 4,500 employees respond to the needs of 92,500 residents in this beautiful part of Scotland, which nestles between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.
Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live.
Headquartered in Elgin, the administrative capital of Moray.
