Nominations open for top Moray sports awards

Nominations have opened for this year’s sportMoray recognition awards.

Nominations have opened for this year’s sportMoray recognition awards, with the ceremony taking place at Elgin Town Hall on Tuesday, November 24.

The number of categories for which an award will be made has risen to 14, with NHS Grampian coming forward to sponsor a new community engagement award which will go to the club or group considered to have been involved with a particular community to increase physical activity or sport.

The other categories are:local service to sport, junior sports athlete, veteran sports athlete, intermediate team, senior team, coach, club level, school sport volunteer, special achievement, intermediate sportsman, intermediate sportswoman, senior sports athlete and sports personality of the year.

A sponsor is also being sought for the awards ceremony itself and any company or organisation interested in helping to cover the costs should contact Kim at the above number.
