Positive inspection report for Seafield Nursery

The nurturing ethos and positive relationships across Seafield Nursery have been praised by inspectors from Education Scotland.

In the inspection report published today (Tuesday 6 February) the dedicated manager and enthusiastic nursery team were commended on their ability to work well together to improve outcomes for children.

The report goes on to highlight the effective support children and families receive from the nursery team who ensure all children can access learning through play and that relationships formed at the nursery ensure children and their families feel welcomed and valued.

Seafield Nursery were encouraged to provide increased planned experiences to enhance children’s learning across the curriculum and to further develop their approaches to assessing and tracking children’s learning.

Education Scotland grade according to a six-point scale of excellent, very good, good, satisfactory, weak, and unsatisfactory. Of the two quality indicators focused on during the nursery inspection both were graded as ‘good’.

The Inspectors added: “We are confident that the setting has the capacity to improve and so we will make no more visits in connection with this inspection.”

Seafield Nursery Manager, Rachel Main, said: “As a team we’re delighted that the nurturing, supportive and positive experiences we offer has been highlighted within the inspection report. I’m incredibly proud of the entire team at Seafield Nursery and together we will continue to develop our approaches and support all our children and their families.”
