Recognition for Moray’s sport volunteers at annual awards
Volunteers, young leaders and sport projects have been recognised at the third annual Moray Active Schools and Community Sport Hub Recognition Awards.
The event brought together community champions, clubs and partners to celebrate the people and projects helping to grow sport and physical activity throughout the region.
A strong field of nominees was considered across a range of categories, highlighting the breadth of activity taking place in schools, clubs and community settings.
It follows the rollout of a new strategy designed to make sport and physical activity a key part of everyday life in Moray, called Active Moray.
Chair of Moray Council's Education, Communities and Leisure Services Committee, Cllr Kathleen Robertson, said: “Congratulations to this year’s winners, and to all who were nominated – they should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved over the last year. The stories of individual volunteers involved in these projects are nothing short of inspiring, and really highlight the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers and young leaders.”
