A survey on plans to introduce a 33-period week across Moray’s secondary schools has already generated nearly 400 responses.

A survey on plans to introduce a 33-period week across Moray’s secondary schools has already generated nearly 400 responses.

The survey was launched as part of a wide-ranging consultation on the proposals and will remain open until Friday, May 19.

Many Scottish education authorities operate a 32 or 33-period week, while Moray’s eight secondaries currently have a 30-period timetable.

Supporters of the proposed change believe it will provide greater flexibility to develop and enhance the school curriculum.
