Sports group's annual meeting
Moray’s local umbrella sports body – sportMoray – will hold its annual general meeting at Elgin Community Centre on Monday, May 16 at 6.30pm.
A number of current executive committee members will be standing down and the opportunity will present itself for new blood to become involved.
Those looking to join the committee will become part of a small but very active group of individuals from sport across Moray.
The level of commitment is not too onerous, with four committee meetings a year. In addition, there are occasional smaller group meetings in connection with specific events.
Anyone seeking further information on sportMoray activities, or who might be interested in joining the executive committee, should contact the current chairman, Ann Rossiter, on 07920 103908 or turn up at the AGM on May 16.
Moray Council area stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Forres in the west. Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live.
