Successful order and collect pilot rolls out to other Moray libraries
ALMOST 1,000 books have been borrowed during Moray Council’s ‘order and collect’ pilot at Elgin Library.
Customers have attended 257 collection slots, borrowing 976 books since 24 August. The pilot has been so successful that it’s being rolled out to community libraries in Forres, Buckie, Keith, Aberlour and Lossiemouth. Orders for collection at these libraries can be placed from today (4 September) with collections beginning next Monday (7 September).
Community Librarian, Philip Davidson, said the response has been heartening.
“It has been lovely to see so many of our regular library users over the last fortnight. We thought the order and collect service would be welcomed, but it’s gone beyond our expectations.
“We’re very grateful to everyone who has placed an order, collected books and observed all the safety measures in place. I’m delighted that we can now offer this service in other community libraries.”
