Tickets go on sale for Moray Music Centre Spring Concert

Young musicians from across Moray will come together to celebrate the arrival of spring when Moray Music Centre stages its annual seasonal concert on Saturday 14 March 2026.

The concert, taking place at 1.30pm at Elgin Academy, will showcase the progress and achievements of young people involved in the various ensembles, highlighting their talent through a varied and engaging programme.

Principal Teacher of Music Instruction and Performance in Moray, Alexander Davidson, said: “Our Spring Concert is a really important moment in the year for our young musicians. It gives them the opportunity to perform for parents/carers and the wider community, build confidence, and share the results of months of commitment and teamwork.

“Behind the scenes, there is a huge amount of preparation involved, and the enthusiasm shown by the young people week after week is always impressive.”

Moray Music Centre, delivered by Moray Council’s Music Instruction and Performance team, provides school-aged pupils from across the region with opportunities to develop their musical skills, perform at a high standard and learn alongside other young musicians.

Around 100 performers are expected to take part in this year’s Spring Concert, including many who regularly represent Moray at regional and national music events.

Chair of Moray Council’s Education, Children’s and Leisure Services Committee, Cllr Kathleen Robertson, said: “The Spring Concert is a fantastic opportunity for families and the wider community to see the impact of the Music Centre’s work. The dedication shown by both the young musicians and the staff supporting them is clear every time they take to the stage.”

Tickets are now on sale via the Moray Council Online Shop, with admission also available on the door.

The Spring Concert will be closely followed the Moray Young Musicians final on Monday 23 March.
