The course is free and is designed for over 18s who would like to become volunteer walk leaders in their local community.

Moray already has a number of health walk groups in Lossiemouth, Forres, Dufftown, Buckie, Elgin and Rothes which have helped many people to get more active and to socialise and have helped with rehabilitation after illness.

Sports development officer Kim Paterson said: “Health walks are a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to get more active using their local environment.

“They are also a great rehabilitation opportunity for people who may have had some recent medical condition or illness.”
