Views sought on proposed relocation of Cullen polling place

Cullen residents are being consulted on the proposed relocation of the polling place in their area.

During recent elections and referenda, voters in Cullen and the rural areas stretching south and west in Ward 2 – Keith and Cullen including Lintmill, Bin of Cullen and Drybridge - have cast their vote at the Cullen Town Hall in the Square.

In light of the town hall’s proposed sale the elections office, on behalf of the Returning Officer, is seeking to relocate the polling place.

Having considered a number of alternative venues locally, the election office is seeking views on the proposal to relocate the polling place to Cullen Bowling Club in Reidhaven Place.

The consultation closes on Monday 27 August. The public are asked to email comments to election.enquiries@moray.gov.uk or in writing addressed to the Election Office, Moray Council, High Street, Elgin IV30 1BX.
