Walking netball in Keith
The Walking Netball trial sessions that have taken place in Keith over recent months have been a success to the extent that the sessions will continue in the New Year. The Walking Netball sessions in Keith are open to adults of any age or ability and take place in the games hall at Keith Sports and Community Centre on a Thursday afternoon from 2.50-3.40pm. No prior experience of netball is required as all rules and skills will be explained at the session which is run in a very relaxed informal manner.
Michele Le Mero has been involved in the introduction of these sessions in Keith in partnership with the Moray Council’s Sports Development section she stated ‘The sessions have been a great laugh, all the ladies are enjoying themselves whilst at the same time making new friends and keeping fit. The majority of ladies had no prior experience of the sport so if you are keen then don’t worry about not knowing the rules just come along and join in the fun!’.
The sessions cost £3 per week or if you are a Fit Life Member at our Leisure Facilities then access is through your membership card. The sessions re-start on Thurs 10th January, just head along on any Thursday to join the session, alternatively contact 01343 563657 for further information.
Famous for its colony of dolphins, fabulous beaches and more malt whisky distilleries than any where else in Scotland, Moray is a thriving area and a great place to live. Nestling between Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, Moray stretches from Tomintoul in the south to the shores of the Moray Firth, from Keith in the east to Brodie Castle in the west.
