A new website has been launched to help connect people who need support with those who can provide support.

The Moray Personal Support Network has been set up in partnership with Health and Social Care Moray and tsiMoray.

The website – www.supportinmoray.co.uk – is designed to help those in need of support in employing a personal assistant.

Similarly, people seeking employment as a personal assistant will be able to create their own profile on the website.

Information and advice is also available on the benefits of employing a personal assistant and the recruitment process.

Michelle Fleming, self-directed support officer for Health and Social Care Moray said: “The website will make the process of finding the right personal assistant much more easy, efficient and streamlined.

“Employing your own personal assistant can give you choice, control and flexibility over how your needs are met.

“Whether you receive self-directed support or privately fund your own care and support, this website can help you to find the right personal assistant for you.”
